My workout routine

Hello everybody! I hope you are all having a lovely week and had an amazing Easter and have had lots of chocolate. I decided to eat all my chocolate in one go because I am trying to be a little healthier so I ate it so there was nothing to tempt me (this seemed logical at the time...). I have been so so happy this week but I have no idea why so this week has been so lovely. I think it was because I have begun thinking a lot more positively about life and I know this sounds really weird but on Sunday night, because I was absolutely dreading going back to school, I decided to write lots of little encouragements on sticky notes and stuck them up all round my room. Also I have been drinking a lot more water recently and apparently if you drink one cup of water in the morning within 30 minutes of getting up and also splash your face with cold water, it makes you a lot more happy and positive through the day. I'm not 100% sure how true that is but I have been feeling a lot happier recently anyways. I may write a post about how to be more positive or little tips and life hacks sometime in the near future.

Anyways, today I wanted to write a little post about my workout routine and some fun ways to keep active and fit. Make sure to leave your comments below. Thank you so much.

I always try to stick this routine as much as possible but sometimes it is a little difficult especially if I am feeling a little lazy.

Morning yoga:
I always try and do a little yoga in the morning as it calms me and wakes me up ready for the day ahead of me. I absolutely love yoga because, especially with my panic attacks, it is so calming and relaxing and is actually quite a good form of exercise and burns a few calories. In the mornings, I will actually follow a YouTube morning yoga tutorial which I will leave a link to below:

Mini workout:
After doing some yoga in the mornings, I will always attempt to do a mini workout. I love to do workouts in the morning because it makes me feel so refreshed and then afterwards you can just get on with your day without feeling you have to do a workout. I follow 5 tutorials for my mini workout which are mainly all done by a channel called Psychetruth which I love so much because their workouts are amazing. I love doing flexibility workouts because, as I am a dancer, I enjoy trying to stretch myself more to be able to do different movements and I try and reach a target I set myself to motivate me more. I will leave a link to my workouts below for you to take a little look at:

Dance class:
I attend two contemporary dance classes which I absolutely love. Dancing is one of my favourite things to do and one of my dreams is to start music and dance therapy classes for children with autism and also some dance and fitness classes for other children and adults. This dream itself is a massive achievement for me because, I know how awful this sounds but I used to have a fear of people with autism because I have had a bad experience before. I used to flinch and panic every time I was around them. But now I am overcoming my fear and I am feeling so so proud of myself.  I go to one dance class at my school on a Monday which is run by a six former called Cara who is so lovely and on a Wednesday, I go to a class at a miner's institute near me with Cara and it's run by Lauren who is also so lovely and the girls who go with me are so lovely as well.

Gym:
I try to go to the gym twice a week- once to my school fitness suite with my friends on a Tuesday and also after dance class on a Wednesday in my local leisure centre with my sister and sometimes her boyfriend. The gym is not one of my favourite places as I am really squeamish and hate people sweating around me and being sweaty and disgusting myself and also sometimes I feel really judged by some people for some reason (it's probably me just being paranoid) but it is an amazing place to workout and burns so many calories.

Yogalates:
I go to yogalates with my sister every Monday at the leisure centre in my town and as some of you may have guessed is a mix between yoga and pilates. I love this class so much because it works on both your flexiblitly and fitness and also stretches you without making you all sweaty and disgusting. I would definitely rrecommend this class.

 Evening Yoga:
I absolutly love to do yoga in the evenings before I go to bed or have a bath or something. It just relaxes me before bed and stops me from having panic attacks which I often do in bed. I usually will do this in my pyjamas or slouchy clothes (as it is not very active) on my yoga mat and will also burn an insence stick or a candle to make the room smell nice and fill it with calming scents. I will again follow a YouTube tutorial for this. I love this mini yoga workout so much as it is really calming and I will also sometimes do this if I'm feeling a little anxious or stressed or panicky. I will leave a link below so you can take a little look if you want:

Jogging:
I love going for a short jog on the weekends because it is so refreshing and also burns a lot of calories. I will usually go for jogs in the early morning because, I know this sounds a little stupid, but I feel really self-concious while jogging because I feel like people are judging me for some reason and also because I don't wear make up when I go jogging. I also love the feeling of freshness in the morning and being awake before everyone else. I love seeing how calm and beautiful the world is in the mornings before the chaos of the day begins. I will always make sure to take my phone to listen to music on with my headphones when I go for jogs and will also always take a bottle of water because it is super important to keep hydrated whilst exercising. I always love to be really organised about everything so I always plan a route which I will jog in my head before I leave so I know exactly where I'm going.

Anyways, I know how difficult it is to get yourself into a good routine of exercise (which should be about an hour a day) so my top tip is to find something that you absolutely love. You should go for a form of exercise that you know you are good at but also choose a different activity to do as well which you find more challenging so you can improve. I always find that it motivates me more if I have a target to reach for example being able to do the splits and when you achieve it, set yourself a new target. Also make sure you enjoy so that you are motivated and do not dread doing it. I love to do mini dance workout tutorials from YouTube and now, especially as it's getting warmer, going for walks in the evenings. I love going for walks with my little brother because it's a nice oppurtunity to get out of the house for a little while and have a chat.

Thank you so much for reading this post and I really hope it has given you a little inspiration to become a little more active. Also, I am so so sorry for not posting in such a long while. I was planning on writing this post about two weeks ago but I have been obsessing so much over Pretty Little Liars and have been watching it constantly. It is so so good and you should definitely watch it if you don't already. I am so so excited for season 6 coming out- my friends and I are all super obsessed and are constantly talking about it and my one friend has a countdown calender for season 6 coming out. Anyways, make sure to leave your comments down below, I hope you all have a lovely weekend and I hope to see you all again very very soon.
